Gene Thomas

Gene Thomas grew up in Raceland, Kentucky, near the Ohio River. In 1970, at the age of 19, Thomas went to Hamilton, Ohio in search of work. While staying with his Aunt and Uncle, Thomas spent time with his cousin and the two amused themselves by shooting at pigeons near the family barn.

Thomas said they never hit any of the birds, but on a cold January evening, their activities yielded a brush with a creature from legend. And this was not the last time Thomas encountered the most well-known cryptid in North America…
